"Photobucket Bandwidth Exceeded" Means and Fix

  • If you are seeing this image instead of Photobucket images than your bandwidth exceeded the limit.

Deleting images does nothing to fix the bandwidth limit, everytime someone looks at any of your pictures, bandwidth is used as he downloads that picture form the servers to his own comp. Deleting the image does not remove the used bandwidth...In other words, in this case the bandwidth is 25gb per month per account. meaning that if you'd have a picture the size of 1gb, it could be watched/downloaded 25 times...or picture the size of 1mb could be watched/downloaded 25 000 times. A picture the size of 100kb could be watched/downloaded 250 000 times.

Problem of course is that each and every picture uses the same bandwidth. So 100 pictures with each size of 100kb could each be watched/downloaded 2500 times. Divided that with 30(days per month) and you have about 80 views per day.

In this case you have three options:

    a) Post less things every month or make more accounts to divide bandwidth.
    b) Pay and get Pro
    c) Use Imageshack.us
